OPEN NOW
THROUGH NOVEMBER 1
THE RURAL HILL AMAZING MAIZE
MAZE
HUNTERSVILLE, NC: With its grand kick-off today and its
first weekend of fun, the 2009 Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze
is now open through November 1. The Rural Hill Amazing Maize
Maze is a seven acre labyrinth with approximately
two and a half miles of pathways in a working corn field.
This year’s Rural Hill Amazing Maize
Maze theme is ENERGY with a focus on solar energy, wind energy
and agriculture. With Rural Hill volunteers and staff
available to help when needed, the Amazing Maize Maze is
designed to be navigated in 1-2 hours.
The Amazing Maize Maze at Rural Hill
is an imaginative use of a corn field so comfortable shoes are
suggested. Water stations are on site and visitors are permitted
to bring in their own food and beverages. Vendors will be
onsite with snacks, ice cream, soft drinks and water
available for purchase. Hayrides
and a bounce house and inflatable fun slide are available for an
additional charge on Saturdays and Sundays. Please visit
www.ruralhill.net for full details.
The staff and volunteers of Rural Hill, along with fellow
citizens, are reminded of the brevity of September 11, 2001.
With a call for Americans to display our country’s flag on the
anniversary of one of our country’s worst tragedies, Rural Hill
will fly the flag in honor of those who lost their lives on
9/11, their families, friends and loved ones, and those who are
fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we
can prevail over terrorism of all kinds. Rural Hill proudly
flies the American flag at all times, along with the flag of
North Carolina and the flag of Scotland.
