The Catawba Valley Scottish Society, Inc. is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.

The Mission of the Catawba Valley Scottish Society is to educate people about the culture, heritage and contributions of the Scots and Scots-Irish and to provide venues for recognizing and celebrating their rich legacy.

It fulfills its mission through:

Presentation of events and activities which demonstrate and perpetuate Scottish culture and heritage.

Restoration, preservation, conservation, interpretation and maintenance of the properties of Rural Hill known to be the historic property and home of John and Violet Davidson and their offspring, and operation of a living history farm on the site.
